11th Annual Frosty 5K Set for Dec. 7th
The 11th Annual Frosty 5K Walk & Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th and will serve as the first event of the day as part of the Northeast Harbor Christmas Festival. The Frosty 5K is open to participants of all levels, whether you’re an avid road racer or just want to get out for some fresh air and a scenic walk. The event is dog-friendly as well, and even includes a “Kids Fun Run”
Registration can be done in advance online, stopping by our main office, or giving us a call at (207)276-5039 prior to Friday, December 6th. Race day registration will be on Saturday, Dec. 7 starting at 8:30am. Advanced registration is $10, and day-of registration is $15. Additionally, the first 50 participants go sign up will receive a complimentary Frosty 5K winter hat.

8:30AM - Pre race registration ($15)
9:00AM - 5K walkers begin
9:15AM - Kids Fun Run (Free to all kids)
9:30AM - 5K runners begin
… followed by hot cocoa and awards ceremony inside The Neighborhood House
The race route begins and finishes at The Neighborhood House. The route begins directly outside the building, takes a quick left down Huntington Rd. (past the Kimball Terrace Inn), takes right the stop sign and then right again onto South Shore Road. From there you just stay on South Shore Rd., bearing right where it turns into Manchester Road (past the sailing school). At the end of Manchester Road (at the intersection with Sergeant Drive), take a right to head down Millbrook Rd. (back towards the village center), and take the left at the stop sign by the NEH Library onto Summit Rd. At the bottom of Summit Rd. (by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust), take the right onto Main Street and follow it straight back to The Neighborhood House.
